Production Streaming Software: Not Just for Vloggers!

Production Streaming software was initially designed for Vloggers and Religious organizations, but now has been expanded to create a new dimension for large and small multi-tiered Events. While Production Software will never replace a high-end Production, it does give an enterprising Production Specialist the tools to create Live and recorded Events at substantially lower costs. 

Most of the current Production Software come with the ability to add multiple inputs including cameras, audio, and Graphics as well as Streaming. While there are quite a few Production Software providers, and after trying and researching several Production Software companies, I decided to go with vMix®. I found it to be very user friendly and offered substantial Production Elements at a relatively low price. vMix is constantly adding features to its product and has partnered with NDI Tools® that will enable it to connect to compatible devices anywhere in the world. vMix has an excellent Support Staff, Community Forums, and Tutorials that cover a variety of topics. It is compatible with over 20 streaming providers and can simultaneously stream to
3 platforms. 

With vMix software we can record the production and ISO record any of the inputs to a variety of formats, insert Live Chat via its vMix Social® product, and create Graphics via their Legacy and GT Title designers. vMix has recently added vMix Call® which is like Zoom® and but integrates mix-minus on every caller. There is also the ability to create back-channel audio for direct dialogue with Producers or guests.

Joe Pledge, uses this software to provide the flexibility to work remotely and easily incorporate cameras, microphones, audio mixers and other production equipment. The software allows automation, creation of playlists, shortcuts, and triggers making even a one-person operation easier to manage and lessens the potential of on-air mistakes.
